"Old Games, Re(new) European Identity" is a Youth Initiative, designed to reconnect youngsters from different countries to their cultural roots. We believe that traditional games are a tangible expression of folk culture and roots to protect and safeguard. Therefore, we want to rediscover traditional way of spending free time by investigating old games and habits, being sure that every countries may have its own traditional games. For this purpose, we want to get the games back by giving new impulses and promoting them among youngsters and people of the four communities involved: Poland, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.
The final objective is to produce a book and a DVD that gathers the most relevant traditions of the different participating countries, in order to promote memories and generations through games.
